A dedicated first-fill sealant for the tail sealing system of shield boring machines. Unlike pump-type greases used during continuous driving, CTR-TSG-H is manually packed directly into the tail sealing brushes before the initial TBM launch or after a tail brush replacement.
Once in position, CTR-TSG-H prevents synchronous grouting slurry and groundwater or soil from infiltrating the tail brush assembly and causing hardening failure. Its fiber-rich homogeneous paste structure ensures uniform distribution throughout the brush cavity, with strong retention under the mechanical contact of advancing segments. The formulation is flame retardant, resisting ignition, flow, and dripping under heat — a critical safety feature during tail brush replacement operations in confined tunnel spaces.
